2025

It has long been a burning desire to transition to formula cars, specifically the prestigious Italian Formula 4 Championship. Now, the opportunity has arisen in the form of a contract with the Swiss team Maffi Racing, which has headhunted David for their lineup.

“I had a fantastic offer from Tony Kart, who wanted me on their team for the upcoming season as well,” says David Walther. “It was difficult to turn down, but when the offer from Maffi Racing came, I had no doubt. Unfortunately, Tony Kart did not want to let me compete for another team.”

The agreement initially includes participation in two races in the 2025 Formula Winter Series, a championship held in Spain and Portugal. These two races, along with test sessions, will serve as a warm-up for the Italian Championship, which kicks off on the first weekend of May.

“It’s no secret that we still need to secure the budget for the full season, but I firmly believe that I can make an impression in the first half of the season that will help attract sponsors,” says David Walther. “For now, the focus is on getting off to a strong start. The goal is to win the rookie title in the Italian Championship.”

Serious sponsors and investors are very welcome to get in touch with David Walther Racing.
